I finally hit one of my fashion goals on the head (this post)! And, I only had to get one new item, the black sandals (which I actually did need to replace), to inspire the look. I had found this fun top at a resale shop a while ago. It looks vintage to me, but it's a great, structural, washable modern cotton fabric with some stretch, so it's comfortable, too! I added my grandmother's refashioned earrings (I think they used to hang from a clip-on earring) for a special touch. And I even made an attempt at "mod" makeup, with the stronger cat-eye and nude lip (Gavin said I needed lipstick, so I guess he wasn't a fan). While I may or may not have hit the mod look exactly, it was fun to see how adding one new element to closet items I already owned, along with adjusting my makeup for the night, made for a whole new look. That's why fashion is fun!
