OUTFIT: Stripes and florals

I wasn't sure how this outfit would go over, mixing two stripes, maroon tights and a mustardish sweater.  However, I thought it looked more put together WITH the additional pattern of the floral scarf (which did have tones from both the sweater and the tights, in case you keep track of those things).  Plus, I wanted to use my new scarf (see the story here).  So now, my working theory for this test-it-out month is More Is Better.  (Sometimes.)  

I also think this outfit kind of works toward my spring fashion goals (see here), since it is bright and includes a floral.  Maybe a stretch since it also includes my go-to stripes, but I'm going to take it...

Skirt: Old Navy (almost exact, save, splurge, aspirational)
Tights: Merona, Target (same brand)
Shoes: Jeffery Campbell via Nordstrom rack (almost exact style on sale!, save, splurge, aspirational)
